Apparently I sit just three floors and a few grey cubicles away from a famous artiste each day.

2010 And Beyond

A presentation by Jeremy Johnson and Stephen Thomas to an internal, work-related luncheon covering trends in Design and Technology. This is the type of corporate luncheon I would attend.Β

This just happens to be one of the talented people I get to work with each day, although never enough.

User Experience and IA Design fascinate me and I love visiting the area that Jeremy and his UX team call The Hive to sit in their “Firedrill” chair, from which I can never seem to gracefully stand back up. But… I think that’s kind of the point.

Regardless, it is a breath of fresh air on those days I can find time to go bother that group in The Hive. They are always entertaining and usually quite tolerant of my lame jokes and/or soap box segments.

Even just a few days ago, when I answered the question of “What does this new icon we just designed (that clearly resembles the universal icon for a point on a map) look like to you?” with “Umm… a Ouiji board pointer?” …they still didn’t kick me out. πŸ™‚ Those are the kinds of co-workers I always want to have – no matter where I work.

Rock on @burin @dustinaskins @schubox @joeplanet and all kinds of red pepper spray & stun gun props to your fearless leader @jeremyjohnson.
